What is CONFLOW
The CONFLOW by NEXT Storm is a superior vortex regulator that provides precise and reliable flow control without external power or moving parts requirements.
Available for a wide range of flow rates CONFLOW regulators can be use in catch basins, manhole or drainage structures where they are installed on the outlet pipe or on a diversion wall.

Performance
CONFLOW line offers a enhance and precisely controlled head loss while optimizing the orifice size to prevent clogging. Compared to orifice plate, CONFLOW vortex design uses openings up to 6 times larger for the same flow control criteria, minimizing risk of flow blockage by debris.
The unique spin-vortex design of CONFLOW, developed in the laboratory, has been tested on full scale on the industry’s largest test bench. The hydraulic brakes were tested in real size and conditions using different flows rates and pressure for each model. In addition, all models were subsequently calibrated in numerical simulation to reproduce the accuracy required for each project.

How it works
Conflow regulator controls water flow using the vortex principle. In this way, Conflow reduces the flow area by generating an air effect through its special internal design.
Due to this area reduction, water flow is optimized, and regulator orifices can be up to 6 times larger than standard orifice regulators under similar flow conditions.
Therefore, Conflow makes the flow regulator less susceptible to being clogged by debris.

FAQ
Which criteria should be considered when choosing a Conflow model?
Using the chart provided in our technical datasheet, a CONFLOW preliminary model selection can be easily done. Selection is based on the maximum target flow rate and the maximum allowable water head. In addition, CONFLOW (CF) selection must take into account pipe diameter and type, the manhole's size and shape. Please refer to our technical documents for more information.
To guarantee accuracy and internal characteristics, NEXT Storm project analysts should check all sizing prior to fabrication and delivery.
What is the difference between a CONFLOW regulator and an orifice plate regulator?
Compared to orifice plate, CONFLOW vortex design uses openings up to 6 times larger for the same flow control criteria, minimizing risk of flow blockage by debris.
What is CONFLOW made of?
CONFLOW regulator has a durable and resistant construction made of 5000 series marine aluminum or 304 stainless steel.
